The Gatehouse provides a wide range of free services to adults with no need to be registered as homeless or to prove a local connection. Our community centre and café operates as a drop-in service, but some services do require advance booking.
Our drop-in Community Centre provides a safe and welcoming environment where guests can relax and enjoy the free food and drink on offer along with a range of other essential support services.
Our 30-minute shower sessions provide access to donated clothes as well as personal hygiene. They do need to be booked in advance and are run subject to staff availability.
Our Casework Team work with individual guests to provide a wide range of personal support across areas such as tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention, health, mental health, wellbeing and addictions, benefits and budgeting, accessing education, work and training and building support networks.
The confidential Counselling Service is delivered by a fully BACP registered Counsellor and is available either face to face, online or over the phone as this flexibility allows both privacy and equal access for all.
If you want to contribute and use your experience of homelessness with like-minded people and to influence positive change within the homeless pathways in Oxfordshire, then join this group and help build your own confidence and wellbeing along the way.
Throughout the year we will be running a range of helpful therapeutic and practical workshops for guests, with other activities also on offer such as our literary group ‘The Write Place’ on Monday evenings and a Board Game Night every Thursday. Just drop in and enjoy.
