How this service helps our guests

The Casework Team works individually with each guest to try to help them identify what they want to change and what steps they need to take to do this; the team then supports the guest through this process. This may involve helping a guest to access other support and services that they may want to involve.

Some areas of support may include, but are not limited to, tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention and other housing needs, health, mental health, wellbeing and addictions, benefits and budgeting, accessing education, work and training and building support networks. The guest is always in control, and the casework team will never take action without a guest’s consent, unless there is a serious safety risk.

If you think that this service is right for you, the first step is to make a request to be referred to the team. Referral includes giving your written consent for us to access and record your information. Next, the Casework Team will review your request with you, by assessing your needs and looking at any current support you may have. If we agree that our Casework service could be beneficial, an allocated caseworker will be assigned to you. This person will listen to you; they might signpost you or liaise with other services for you; they will always work with you and keep what you want at the forefront of their work.
