If you are intending to prepare food for donating to the Gatehouse, either as part of a Food Group or as an individual, please read our Food Safety Handbook and take note of the additional guidance below.
If you’re preparing sandwiches, there are three types we ask for: ham, tuna and mayo, and cheese. If possible, there should be two loaves of each type prepared (white and brown bread). An allergen sticker should be stuck on each loaf of sandwiches to let us know what ingredients are used for the well-being of our guests.
If you’re preparing cakes, it’s the same as Sandwiches as an allergen sticker should be stuck on each cake. This helps us to look out for the well-being of our guests by knowing what ingredients have been used and checking for any allergies.
The Gatehouse also provides home-made soup in the winter months (November to March). We hope to expand the list of people who are willing to make soup for us according to a rota so that a fresh supply is maintained. If you are interested in donating in any way, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
