For the next week, from 23rd to 30th June you can make your donations go twice as far with our Big Give Small Charity Week Campaign! If you donate any sum from £1 upwards then Big Give will match those funds and your donation will have twice the impact, providing even more support for our guests.
Donations must be made between noon on the 23rd June and noon on the 30th June, and must be made via our Big Give campaign page. Donations made via other methods will not receive matched funding.
You can find our Big Give campaign page on the Big Give website by searching for 'homeless people oxford', or directly via this link to the Gatehouse Big Give campaign. Donations can be made online using a debit/credit card or Apple Pay / Google Pay. The following card types are accepted: Mastercard / Visa / Maestro / Switch / Solo / Delta / American Express. There is also an option to pay by bank transfer but that is a slightly more complicated 2 step process which is detailed on the Big Give website.
So where will the money go?
With £10,000 of donations plus £10,000 of matched funding from the Big Give we will be able to allocate those funds towards the following key costs which form an essential part of our community drop-in services:
Our 2025 expenditure budget for these items is just over £200,000, so this would provide around 10% of that total within a single week, which would be wonderful achievement. With your help we can achieve that target, and provide our guests with the support that they so urgently need.
With your donations, we can:
• Continue to serve nutritious meals: your support will help us serve a variety of nourishing food from fruit, sandwiches and cake to pizza, jacket potatoes and soup to those who often go hungry during the cold winter months. a £10 donation will provide a meal each day for one guest for a whole week.
• Offer essential supplies: from blankets and winter clothing to personal hygiene items, your donations will help us provide vital supplies to those who need them most. Make that £20 and we can add a shower, clothes and much more.
• Create a Supportive Community: Your kindness fosters a sense of belonging and community among our guests, reminding them that they are not alone on their journey to finding stability and a better life.
