Each year the campaigning organisation Remember a Charity run a national event called, not surprisingly, Remember a Charity Week, and this year it runs from the 9th to 15th September. This campaign highlights how you can leave a Gift in your Will to charity, and the growing importance of this fundraising stream in helping all charities, big or small, to achieve long term financial stability.
Remember a Charity have even come up with a new word to describe the act of leaving money to charities in your Will, which is ‘Willanthropy’. In other words a combination of Wills and Philanthropy. As a member of Remember a Charity we’re embracing the opportunity to focus on this topic, and to ask ‘Will you Remember the Gatehouse in your Will?’
There are three good reasons why more and more people are choosing to leave a Gift to charity in their Will:
All of this and much more is explained on our Gifts in Wills page, which can help you to navigate easily around all aspects of this topic.
If you would like to support the Gatehouse please consider leaving us a Gift in your Will, and you can help us even more by passing on this message to friends, family and colleagues on social media or using our downloadable ‘Will You’ campaign poster.
